What is the Türkiye Scholarship Doctoral Program at Koç University?

The Türkiye Scholarship Doctoral Program at Koç University was launched in early 2018 and provides full scholarships for high-achieving underserved students from across the world to pursue their PhD degrees at Koç University.

Türkiye Scholarships is a government funded higher education scholarship program which is designed for international students.

The Türkiye Scholarship Doctoral Program at Koç University offers

  • 100% tuition scholarships in any of Koç University 30 PhD programs
  • Dormitory accommodation
  • Monthly stipend
  • Flights
  • Other benefits (Turkish Language Course tuition during PhD studies)

How to apply?

To apply students need to:

  • apply to Koç University for admission to their PhD program of interest using Koç University’s graduate online application with all required documents (TOEFL and GRE/GMAT test scores, grades, etc) before the relevant university deadline AND
  • apply to the Türkiye Scholarships program through their online application system www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr by their deadline

What are the scholarship requirements?

  • Candidates must not be older than 35 years of age for doctoral degree.
  • Applicants who apply to Türkiye Scholarships must be a graduate or able to graduate at the end of the current academic year.
  • Candidates have to meet the criteria of the Koç University PhD program which they choose. This will include necessary documents such as TOEFL and GRE/GMAT scores. Applications of candidates who do not submit the required documents will not be evaluated.

 

Students from the following countries are eligible to apply during Round 2 (postgraduate programs):
