What is the Bolashak “Center for International Programs” Scholarships Program at Koç University?

The Bolashak Center for International Programs Scholarships Program at Koç University was launched in 2018. It is a joint scholarship program between Koç University and the Bolashak Center for International Programs. It provides partial tuition scholarships for high-achieving students from Kazakhstan to pursue their undergraduate degrees at any of Koç University’s undergraduate or graduate programs every year.

Undergraduate Scholarships

Every academic year the committee that evaluates international undergraduate applications offers a limited number of tuition scholarships to outstanding candidates based on academic merit.

Koç University will offer three (3) full tuition (100% tuition waiver) undergraduate scholarships for Kazakhstani students who are pre-selected and referred by the Center for International Programs (Bolashak) to any of its undergraduate degrees.

IMPORTANT: candidates will need to submit a complete online application to BOTH Koç University AND the Center for International Programs by the specified application deadlines.

Master with Thesis (MA/MSc/LLM) Scholarships

If you apply to any of Koç University’s Master with Thesis programs you will receive some or all of the following based on your academic merit and the program you apply to:

• Full or partial annual tuition fee waiver
• Free on-campus dormitory accommodation or monthly housing allowance (awarded on a competitive basis)
• Monthly stipend (awarded on a competitive basis)
• Laptop, office space, private health insurance (awarded on a competitive basis)

Koç University will offer four (4) full tuition (100% tuition waiver) Master With Thesis scholarships for Kazakhstani students who are pre-selected and referred by the Center for International Programs (Bolashak) to any of its Master With Thesis programs.

Master without Thesis (MA/MSc/LLM) Scholarships

Koç University will offer two (2) full tuition (100% tuition waiver) Master Non-Thesis scholarships for Kazakhstani students who are pre-selected and referred by the Center for International Programs (Bolashak) to any of its Master Non-Thesis programs.

PhD Scholarships

Students who are given an offer of admission to a PhD program may receive the following support:

• Full annual tuition waiver (100% tuition scholarship)
• Monthly living stipend (exact amount varies based on different factors)
• Accommodation in shared graduate student apartments near campus OR monthly housing allowance
• Health insurance
• Office space and laptop computer
• Coverage of thesis-related expenses (including costs of attendance to approved conferences)

Koç University will offer four (4) full tuition (100% tuition waiver) PhD scholarships for Kazakhstani students who are pre-selected and referred by the Center for International Programs (Bolashak) to any of its PhD programs.
