The Koç University College of Administrative Sciences and Economics and Graduate School of Business was granted accreditation by AACSB International, AMBA, and EQUIS and has become the first and only institution of higher education in Türkiye to have the “Triple Crown” of the three prestigious accreditations. This accolade puts Koç University among less than the top 1% of business management schools globally.

EQUIS

Koç University Business School earned the EQUIS accreditation inMarch 2009 and was renewed in 2017. EQUIS (The European Quality Improvement System) is a leading international system of quality assessment, improvement, and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration administered by EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development). Its scope covers all programs offered by an institution from the first degree up to the PhD, including non-degree programs. The Koç University College of Administrative Sciences and Economics and Graduate School of Business were granted accreditation by AACSB International, an established global accreditation organization in its field and the largest business education network in the world connecting students, educators, and businesses around the world.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

In October 2010 the Semahat Arsel Nursing Education and Research Center earned accreditation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association (ANA), and the recognized leader in global credentialing services. The ANCC is the world’s largest and most prestigious nurse credentialing organization and is the only nurse credentialing organization to successfully achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification in the design, development, and delivery of global credentialing services and support products for nurses and healthcare organizations. www.nursingworld.org/ancc/

Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)

Koç University School of Nursing (KUSON) is the first and only internationally accredited institution in Türkiye in the field of nursing. For the first time in 2016, KUSON was recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) – Higher Education Accreditation Council for the United States and International Nursing Education Programs, and it was accredited for 5 years by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) – prestigious and most established accreditation institution for Nursing Accreditation Commission. The faculty has also been re-accredited for 8 years until 2030.

The Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MÜDEK)

Koç University’s College of Engineering programs are accredited by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs (MÜDEK), a non-governmental organization operating for the purpose of contributing to the enhancement of quality of engineering education in Türkiye and recognized by the Higher Education Council (YÖK) of Türkiye as the National Quality Assurance Agency in accrediting engineering programs. MÜDEK is a member of the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE) since November 17, 2006 and since MÜDEK became a Signatory of the Washington Accord in 2011, all programs accredited by MÜDEK are recognized as equivalent to ABET-accredited by other Washington Accord Signatories. TEPDAD (Tıp Eğitimi Programlarını Değerlendirme ve Akreditasyon Derneği)

The Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Medical Education Programs’ (TEPDAD) National Board of Accreditation of Medical Education (UTEAK) has issued full accreditation status to the Koç University School of Medicine through 2024. According to the valorization of the National Board of Accreditation of Medical Education, Koç University School of Medicine’s education has met and satisfied the national standards and has been accredited by TEPDAD through 01.01.2024.

ECFMG (The Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates)

The Koç University School of Medicine is recognized in the United States by the  Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). Certification by ECFMG is the standard for evaluating the qualifications of International Medical Graduates before they enter U.S. graduate medical education. CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)

Koç University’s Master of Science in Finance Program was selected as the first partner program in Türkiye and one of only 36 CFA Program partners throughout Europe. The CFA Institute has partnerships with a limited number of select institutions that cover a significant portion of the CFA Program curriculum in their degree program. The International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN) provides a global forum to support leading colleges, universities, and corporate campuses in the exchange of information, ideas, and best practices for achieving sustainable campus operations and integrating sustainability in research and teaching. The Global Business School Network (GBSN)

In December 2009, Koç University became the first university to join the Global Business School Network (GBSN) through the College of Administrative Sciences and Economics and the Graduate School of Business. It is a non-profit organization which aims to educate future corporate leaders of emerging markets with the support of the International Finance Corporation and the World Bank. Koç University signed the UN Global Compact in 2007. The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC)

Koç University is the first university from Türkiye to partner with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) which aims to improve understanding and cooperative relations among nations and peoples across cultures and religions.
