Prof. Dr. Hasan Bayram from Koç University School of Medicine will coordinate a joint coronavirus research project funded by Türkiye and China

 

In the framework of the Scientific and Technological Cooperation Protocol between The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TUBITAK) and the China National Natural Research Foundation (NSFC), it was decided to support selected research projects in 2020.

Both sides will support collaborative research projects in the field of novel coronavirus research, support Chinese and Turkish Scientists to join hands to fight the new crown pneumonia epidemic. According to the evaluation results of the two parties and the mutual consultation between the two organizations, the following four projects will be funded. The project implementation period is from January 2021 to December 2022 (two years):

Özlem Güven – İstanbul Medipol Üniversitesi Yifei Hu Establishing a SARS-Cov-2 Surveillance System for Community Health Using Wastewater Sludge Monitoring.
