My Exchange Journey to a Top-Ranked University

Bonjour! I am Dirja Mahendra, an international student from Indonesia enrolling in double majors in International Relations and Business. Administration After graduating from Foundation Studies at NTU Singapore, I continued my education at Koç University in 2020 with the Turkish Government Scholarship. I am returning to Istanbul to complete my junior year. I was an exchange student at Sciences Po, a well-known university in the political science field. Almost all French presidents graduated from this university! Sciences Po’s reputation is also equal to top universities such as Oxford, Harvard, and Yale, even according to the QS Ranking By Subject, the Political department of Sciences Po ranks 3rd in the world, above the universities of Chicago, Stanford, and MIT.
I am very grateful that the Office of International Programs (OIP) at Koç University has a special quota to send its best students from the International Relations department to do student exchanges for one or two semesters at this university. I was selected as an exchange student at Sciences Po for Fall 2022 through the Erasmus+ Student Exchange program, I also received a grant of 600 Euros per month, as well as several facilities such as assistance with obtaining a visa from the host university, discounts on insurance and transportation, also access to a government dormitory.
The student exchange selection process held at OIP is also very easy to understand. Selection time is permanently scheduled every year, this makes it easier for students to prepare the exchange applications in advance. Finally, Koç University as the best university in Turkey has partnered with well-known universities around the world. Sciences Po is just one of the many top universities that give special quotas to students at Koç University to study on their campuses. OIP has helped many students to achieve their dream of studying abroad. Again, I am very grateful for being given the opportunity to fulfill my dream of studying abroad at one of the best universities in the world.
