My First-Year Experience at Koç
My name is Selay Guluzade and I am currently a student at Koç University, Faculty of Business Administration. I am from Baku, Azerbaijan which means I am also one of those international students who studies abroad. This is my 2nd year of studying and I would say that in this 1 year I have learned many more things and had so many experiences which I am glad to share with all.
To begin with my faculty, I have always had a business mindset which is why I have chosen Business Administration to study at Koç University. A key benefit of studying business administration is that it serves as an introduction to the real world of business. The reason I choose to study business administration at Koç gives me the opportunities for academic knowledge and skills to explore a global career and will help to develop a broad understanding of businesses such as finance, human resources, and marketing.
Studying Business Administration (Management) at Koç University have the opportunity to develop subjects that may help them prepare for various business careers as well.
The campus life at Koç University is very different. Students here are challenged to make good decisions as well as lead in positive ways at the University. From my point of view, in this one year, I have learned new experiences such as living away from home, meeting new people and managing my own time which means preparing for life on campus.
Koç can help students to build their self-confidence, achieve personal growth, and to contribute to improvement in society. Also, students have an opportunity to make friends from other nationalities and cultures which promotes multi-culturalism.
All in all, I am so glad that I went to Koç University in Istanbul, found new friends inside and outside the campus, as well as gained a lot of experience. I am so thankful that Koç University made these opportunities that students can benefit from.
