What is the Azerbaijan State Scholarship program?

The Azerbaijan Government implemented the Azerbaijan State Scholarship program 2022-2026 (Devlet Programı) on February 28, 2022.

The primary goal of the Azerbaijan State Scholarship program is to “foster the growth of young individuals into competitive and proficient experts who embrace contemporary technologies, guaranteeing the future progress of the Republic of Azerbaijan and addressing global demands. The program aims to equip Azerbaijani students with practical knowledge and skills, enabling them to meet the requirements of the present and future job market.”

• The scholarship covers the tuition fee (with/without scholarship assigned by Koç University) for the Undergraduate program.

Eligible undergraduate and Master’s degree programs at Koç University for the 2023-24 academic year for the Azerbaijan State Scholarship (Devlet Programı)

• MSc in Computer Sciences and Engineering
• MSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• MSc in Biomedical Sciences and Engineering
• MSc in Chemical and Biological Engineering
• MSc in Material Sciences and Engineering
• MSc in Computational Sciences and Engineering
• MSc in Finance

How to Apply? – Undergraduate programs

1. Apply to Koç University for admission to the eligible undergraduate program of interest using Koç University’s online application system with all required documents before the relevant university deadline.
2. If admitted to the program, request a letter that is required for the Azerbaijan State Scholarship program by sending an email to study@ku.edu.tr
3. Receive a PDF letter with a stamp and signature from the university within 3-5 working days.
4. Apply to the Azerbaijan State Scholarship program before the relevant deadline.
5. If the Azerbaijan State Scholarship Program accepts the student,

– Payment of the 1st-semester tuition fee needs to be done by the student to Koç University through the Param online payment system

– The student will get their student enrollment certificate in October after completing their registration to the university

– Azerbaijan State Scholarship Program will proceed with the refund of the 1st-semester tuition fee during the Fall term once the students submit the documents required by them

6. Koç University will send the tuition fee invoices to the Azerbaijan State Scholarship Program from the Spring term(2^nd semester) onwards.

How to Apply? – Master programs

Apply to Koç University for admission to the eligible Master Non-Thesis program of interest using Koç University’s online application system with all required documents before the relevant university deadline.

2. If admitted to the program, request a letter that is required for the Azerbaijan State Scholarship program by sending an email to study@ku.edu.tr
3. Receive a PDF letter with a stamp and signature from the university within 3-5 working days.
4. Apply to the Azerbaijan State Scholarship program before the relevant deadline
5. If the Azerbaijan State Scholarship Program accepts the student,

– Payment of the 1st-semester tuition fee needs to be done by the student to Koç University
