The Fung Fellowship Program at Koç University was launched in 2015. It is a joint scholarship program between Koç University and the Victor and Willian Fung Foundation. It provides full scholarships for 6 high-achieving students from China to pursue their Ph.D. degrees at any of Koç University’s doctoral programs every year.
The Victor and William Fung Foundation is investing 1 million USD to support this initiative and the university is matching this investment with an equivalent contribution designated exclusively for the support of students from the most prestigious universities in China.
The Fung Scholars Program supports university students to experience learning, communicating and networking outside their own culture through overseas exchange programs to different countries. The recipients of the scholarships are called the Fung Fellows. Fung Fellows are chosen on the basis of academic excellence and leadership potential.
The Fung Scholars Program is currently established at 29 universities worldwide with 3,700+ Fung Scholars and Fung Fellows.
